Shri Ram Navami Celebrations

April 18 @ 8:30 am 10:30 pm

Sri Ram Navami is a Hindu festival that celebrates the birth of Lord Rama, one of the incarnations of the god Vishnu, as described in the Hindu epic Ramayana. It usually falls on the ninth day (Navami) of the Chaitra month in the Hindu lunar calendar, which typically corresponds to March or April in the Gregorian calendar. The significance of Sri Ram Navami lies in the celebration of the birth of Lord Rama, who is revered as an embodiment of righteousness, truth, and compassion. Devotees observe this day with fasting, prayers, singing bhajans (devotional songs), and reading the Ramayana. It’s also common for temples dedicated to Lord Rama to organize special events and processions on this auspicious day. Additionally, devotees may engage in charitable activities and distribute prasad (sanctified food) to others. Overall, Sri Ram Navami is a day of spiritual reflection and celebration for millions of Hindus around the world.
